Product Definition
This is a common connecting fitting in piping systems, mainly used to join pipes, valves, containers and other components. It is one of the basic components in pipe assembly.
Material Features
It is usually made of stainless steel, with common grades including 304 stainless steel and 201 stainless steel:
- It has good rust and corrosion resistance, which can meet the needs of pipeline use under various working conditions;
- Some products are made of sanitary-grade stainless steel, which can meet the usage requirements of piping systems with hygiene standards, such as food processing and pharmaceutical production.
Structural Design
- The main body is a disc-shaped structure, with multiple bolt holes distributed on the edge (the 6-hole style is shown in the figure), which is used to achieve tight connection via bolts;
- An annular sealing surface (the groove area in the figure) is set in the middle. When in use, it needs to be matched with a sealing gasket, and the sealing effect at the connection part is achieved by the clamping force of the bolts.
Main Functions
- Connection function: Fix and connect two sections of pipes (or pipes with equipment, valves) to build a complete pipeline path;
- Sealing function: Cooperate with the sealing gasket to prevent the fluid (media such as liquid and gas) in the pipeline from leaking from the connection part.
